Actor Shah Rukh Khan, who had put his shoots on hold following the arrest of his son Aryan Khan in the cruise ship drug case, is all set to return to the sets of his upcoming film Pathan from December 15.
According to a Pinkvilla report, Khan is set to start a new schedule with the film’s leading lady, Deepika Padukone, and antagonist, John Abraham. The team will start shooting for Pathan from December 15 at a closed set up in Mumbai, a trade source informed the online portal. The schedule, during which “some really important sequences” will be filmed, is expected to go on for 15 to 20 days and all the three key actors – SRK, Padukone, and Abraham – will be a part of this stint.
After the shoot in India, the team has planned an extensive international schedule. However, the locations are yet to be decided.
“[Director] Siddharth Anand and [producers] YRF are in extensive discussions to make this international schedule happen to give their audience the grandeur that they are expecting from Pathan. The idea is to shoot some visually appealing scenes with the leading actors at breathtaking real locations,” the source further informed Pinkvilla, adding that there will be clarity on the international leg of Pathan in the next few weeks.
The film, which was kicked off in November 2020, will reportedly feature several intense action sequences and will be an expansion to YRF’s spy universe.

Post the shoot of Pathan, Khan is expected to join the sets of filmmaker Atlee’s next. The film, which also stars Nayanthara, was being shot in Pune before it was halted when Khan took a break from his shoot schedules due to his son Aryan Khan’s legal proceedings.
Aryan was arrested on October 3 by the NCB during a raid aboard a cruise ship based on a tip-off. The agency allegedly seized 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas or hashish, 22 pills of MDMA (ecstasy), 5 grams mephedrone, and cash worth Rs 1.33 lakh. After several court dates, he was granted bail on October 28, by a single bench consisting of Justice Nitin Sambre.
