Director M Muthaiah’s upcoming Komban, which is scheduled to release on March 27 is facing legal trouble from Madurai Mavatta Devendrakula Vellalar Uravin Murai Sangam. The Sangam has filed a petition in Madras High Court claiming the the film has portrayed the dominance of one caste in the Ramanathapuram district where the entire movie was shot.
The court in return has asked the Censor Board officials to look for such instances in the movie during its certification. The official statement regarding Komban’s censor day and its certification will be out anytime soon.
Komban starring Karthi, Lakshmi Menon and Rajkiran is a rural drama set in Ramanathapuram district. Music director GV Prakash has scored the music for this movie.
