Produced by director Bala, Pisaasu was a Tamil gothic horror movie starring Kalyani Natarajan, Harish Uthaman, Radha Ravi alongside, Naga, Prayaga Martin, Raj Kumar, and Ashvatt. The film centred around a young man who suffered trauma after he witnessed a death. The film was remade in Telugu and Kannada, titled Pisachi and Raakshasi respectively. It was also remade in Hindi and titled Nanu Ki Jaanu, for which Mysskin wrote the script.
Mysskin also thanked Bala for giving away the rights of the title through a Twitter post that read, “I owe a man a debt of gratitude. It’s my Bala, the great artist I love the most @bstudios_offl. As soon as I was told I was going to run ‘Pisaasu 2’ I imprinted my loving kisses on Bala’s forehead who gave me his own title.”
