A video clip of a news debate on a Telugu news channel has been doing the rounds, where the anchor of the channel is seen having a rather heated discussion with Telugu actor-director Posani Krishna Murali. In the video, the anchor, Sambashiva Rao, asks the actor about brokers in the film industry.
Media Watch – TV5 hits shockingly new low. Will @BARCIndia and @MIB_India take note?
Will @tv5newsnow at least issue an apology?? https://t.co/s7VURA7Nyu

Translation:
SSR: “In your cinema circle, are they no brokers? Before getting into politics, shouldn’t you eradicate all this?”
“Who’ll tell us who are there in cinema? Despite being educated, there is not a bit of decency in them.”
Actress Lakshmi Manchu, this morning, shared the video and slammed the news channel for demeaning actresses on air.
NO ONE can use such words generalising & labelling women, no matter what. Targeting actresses, will be least tolerated by our fraternity. I condemn this & won’t let this go easy. #GetALife than gaining publicity by speaking derogatorily towards the women of the industry. https://t.co/PgD4C3dNrM
