Prakash Raj Sings For Inji Iduppazhagi / Size Zero

Actor Prakash Raj, who recently attended the pooja of his next film with Udhayanidhi Stalin, has finished recording a song written by lyricist Madhan Karky for the movie Inji Iduppazhagi. Inji Iduppazhagi (Size Zero in Telugu) is a bilingual film simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu. The movie is set for a worldwide release on October 2.

The posters of the film have been received positively. Only two days ago, Arya, who plays a fitness consultant in the film, hosted a lungi party for the team, marking the end of the shooting schedules. Reports suggest that the audio launch of Inji Iduppazhagi will be held on September 6 in Malaysia.

Inji Iduppazhagi, directed by Prakash Kovelamudi is based on the concept of ‘size zero’. Size Zero is a US-based women’s clothing size which has been held up as an ‘ideal size’ as well as critiqued for the dangerous health standards it perpetuates. Among its many critics was former Vogue editor Kirstie Clements who has written about her encounters with a fashion industry which considers starvation, daily fainting, and hospitalisation, a normal part of a model’s everyday life. In the wake of  alarming findings that 40% models having eating disorders, several Italian fashion labels including Prada, Armani, and Versace banned size zero models from their catwalks several years ago. By April 2015, France, Italy, Spain, and Israel had all banned excessively thin fashion models.

Starring Arya, Anushka Shetty in the lead, Inji Iduppazhagi has Sonal Chauhan, Urvashi and master Bharath in supporting roles. The film has music by MM Keeravani and was written by Kanika Dhillon.
