Pranav Mohanlal’s Next Is With Ramaleela Director Arun Gopy

After the success of Aadhi, Pranav Mohanlal has picked his next project, this time with director Arun Gopy.

On Facebook, the director of Dileep’s film Ramaleela wrote that he’s happy to announce his second feature film with Pranav Mohanlal and it will be bankrolled by Tomichan Mulakupadam. The screenplay is also written by Arun Gopy.

Pranav Mohanlal was last seen in Aadhi which was also his first feature film as a lead actor. He has acted previously as a child artist in Onnaman and Punarjani for which he received Kerala State Award for Best Child Artist. He returned to Malayalam cinema after a long gap and assisted Jeethu Joseph in movies like Papanasam and Life of Josutty. 

Jeethu Joseph himself cast Pranav Mohanlal for Aadhi and the film was a success. For the movie, Pranav Mohanlal took training in Parkour martial arts also.

In his latest interview to The Times of India, director Arun Gopy revealed the amount pressure he is under ever since the announcement of the movie. “Before announcing the film, I was relaxed – it was going to be just another movie. However, since the social media post, messages from fans and well-wishers have been pouring in and I am feeling the heat. I think after Aadhi, the expectations have only increased and I am well aware of it now” the director says.

Arun Gopy previously made his directorial debut with Dileep’s Ramaleela which was also produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam. Despite the fact that Dileep was jailed during the time of Ramaleela’s release, the film was a huge commercial hit in Kerala.
