Prasanna’s next film will be his first rural-themed movie in a career spanning 12 years. The film, tentatively titled Kaala Koothu, is based in Madurai and is about two friends with contrasting characters. The lead roles have been played by Prasanna and Kalaiyarasan. Dhansika and Srushti Dange play the female leads. Prasanna has also tried his hand at speaking the Madurai slang for this film.
The talkie portions of the film have been shot and the songs will be filmed in September. The movie, directed by Nagarajan, is eyeing a December release. Prasanna, who is expecting a baby with his wife Sneha, says that he is in a ‘happy phase of life’ at the moment.
