Director Priyadarashan’s Tamil film Sila Samayangalil has made it to the final round of selection for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards. The film has been cleared for its global premiere by Golden Globes. The HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association) screening will take place on October 6 at Beverly Hills at 7 pm at the Real D Screening Room. It stars Prakash Raj in the lead role.
Of the 10 films that reached the final rounds, Sila Samayangalil is the only one from India. Incidentally, this feat comes at a time when Priyadarshan is riding the success wave of his latest Malayalm film, Oppam.
Sila Samayangalil is based on eight characters who arrive at a pathology lab at 9 a.m to give their blood for an AIDS test. Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy, Nassar and Ashok Selvan play the lead roles in the film, which has music composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The actors expressed their delight on this achievement through their Twitter pages
