The buzz around Priyanka Chopra’s engagement with singer Nick Jonas has grown louder. Early on Thursday morning, Ali Abbas Zafar, who is directing Salman Khan starrer Bharat, tweeted that the actress is no longer a part of the film. His tweet almost gave away the reason. It said, “…the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her”.

People magazine almost confirmed the rumours. Quoting sources, it said the couple got engaged a week ago on her 36th birthday in London. Apparently, Jonas closed down a Tiffany store in New York City to buy an engagement ring. The article quotes sources for both celebrities as saying the two were very, very happy. But, there has been no official confirmation from the two.
Bharat, starring Salman Khan and Disha Patani, had gone on floors last Sunday. Priyanka Chopra had earlier confirmed her participation in the project through a tweet.

Bharat, which would have reunited Chopra and Khan a decade after God Tussi Great Ho, is a remake of the Korean film Ode To My Father. The movie features Khan as a stuntman and Patani as a trapeze artist.
Chopra has been shooting with Farhan Akhtar for The Sky Is Pink, directed by Shonali Bose of Margarita With A Straw fame. She also has Hollywood projects A Kid Like Jake, which releases this year, and Isn’t It Romantic? due to hit screens in 2019.
