The Puli team, currently camping at Thalakonam Forest regions, have shot their grand opening song which features Vijay, Shruti Haasan, Prabhu, Thambi Ramaiyah, Sathyan, Junior Balayya, Narein, Joe Malluri, Madhumitha, Anjalidevi, Gayathri and other artistes. The song, choreographed by dance master Sreedhar, also has 300 junior artistes and 200 dancers.
So far, 115 days of shooting have been completed, and the team will shoot for 25 more days in India before travelling abroad for a 15-day schedule. A huge village set with over 30 houses has been erected for the shoot and it is said that over Rs 5 crores have been spent on this.
Puli, directed by Chimbudevan, also stars Sridevi, Nandita and Naan Ee Sudeep in important roles. Produced by SKT Studios, the movie has music scored by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography by Nataraj Subramaniam and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
