Actor Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan, which is continuing its successful box-office run across the country, might be remade in four Indian languages. According to a Deccan Chronicle report, financier and producer, Ramesh P Pillai of Abhishek Films has grabbed the remake rights of the film for a mammoth price. The report adds that the makers are planning to rope in Prabhas for the Telugu version and Salman Khan for the Hindi version of the film.
Directed by Vyshak and produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam, Pulimurugan is an action-drama featuring Mohanlal in the lead role. Shot in the backdrop of Kerala’s rainforests, the film’s stunt sequences, choreographed by Peter Hein, are being well appreciated.

According to the DC report, Tomichan will join hands with Ramesh P Pillai in the production of Pulimurugan in all the Indian languages.
Mohanlal’s 2013 film Drishyam, directed by Jeethu Joseph, was remade in four Indian languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. The film, noted for its screenplay and Mohanlal’s performance, was one of the biggest hits in Malayalam that year. The remakes, which starred actors like Venkatesh, Ravichandran, Kamal Haasan and Ajay Devgn, became successful too.
