Popular Bollywood actors and real-life couple Rahul Dev and Mugdha Godse have come on board for a Tamil thriller titled Coffee, directed by Sai Krishna. The film has actress Iniya playing the central character, and is currently in post-production.
Rahul Dev will be seen as the main antagonist in Coffee, and Mugdha plays a key member of his gang. Rahul has acted in Tamil films such as Suriya-starrer Aadhavan, Narasimha and Vedalam, while Mugdha worked with Arvind Swamy in Thani Oruvan.
Speaking to Silverscreen, director Sai Krishna said that the couple readily agreed to come on board after listening to the script, “I felt that Rahul and Mugdha would particularly suit the two characters who are part of a big network in Mumbai. The Tamil they speak is very different from ours, and I wanted that. They return to Tamil cinema with Coffee.”
