The shooting of the upcoming untitled Telugu film starring actors Rahul Vijay and Megha Akash commenced on Tuesday in Hyderabad.
The film is helmed by debutant Abhimanyu Baddi and produced by Abhishek Kota and filmmaker Sushanth Reddy under the banners Kota Film Factory and Trippy Pics Studios, respectively. It will be presented by Megha’s mother Bindu Akash.
Speaking to Silverscreen India, Baddi, who has previously worked as an associate on Reddy’s Dear Megha (also starring Megha), says, “This is a romantic comedy film set against the backdrop of Goa. It revolves around four individuals who have their own goals, but destiny brings them to Goa and has something in store for each one of them. Megha Akash and Rahul Vijay play two of the four people.”
While Megha essays a modern, carefree woman, Rahul plays a miser, the filmmaker reveals. Besides the lead pair, the film also features veteran actor Rajendra Prasad as the grandfather of Rahul’s character.
Baddi tells us that Reddy worked on this story and script, while they were filming Dear Megha. Subsequently, Reddy decided to back the project and let Baddi take the reins as director.
The yet-to-be-titled film will be shot both in Hyderabad and Goa and the team is looking to wrap up by the end of April. The technical crew includes Manoj Reddy as the cinematographer, while Prawin Pudi will be handling the edits.
