Filmmaker S.S Rajamouli is expected to direct Mahesh Babu next year. The duo were set to make a film two years ago, but the project hadn’t materialized. After the release of the second part of Baahubali, the Rajamouli–Mahesh project is expected to start production. The film will be produced by K.L Narayana.

In the meantime, Mahesh is scheduled to complete Brahmotsavam with Sreekanth Addala and a yet-untitled project with Puri Jagganadh.
Baahubali is slated for release on Friday and is likely to surpass the 2010 Endhiran, to become India’s most expensive film. It will be releasing in nearly 4000 screens in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. The film tells the tale of two brothers warring for an ancient kingdom. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannah Bhatia have essayed the lead characters.
