Actor Sathyaraj who plays the role of ‘Kattappa’ in the record-breaking film Baahubali, said that director SS Rajamouli would often ask his actors to be serious off-screen as well. At the trailer launch event of his upcoming film Night Show, Sathyaraj said, “We used to have fun on the sets of Baahubali by teasing each other. But, that was not encouraged by SS Rajamouli. He believed that we should be serious off-screen in order to ensure that the appropriate emotional atmosphere was created on-screen. Well, I am a fun-loving person, so it was tough for me to be serious all the time.”
It appears that both Sathyaraj and Prabhas retained a jovial attitude on the sets initially, teasing producer Shobu Yarlagadda in particular, for appearing so calm and aloof, despite having invested such a huge amount of money in the film.
One question many fans have been asking on social media is: ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?’ Some fans have taken to tweeting Sathyraj’s son Sibiraj, hoping he might know the secret:
