Rajinikanth has been approached by the BJP to help launch a book on Narendra Modi. Reports state that Tamilisai Soundararajan, president of the state unit, met the actor’s wife during the Navaratri festivities on an ‘informal visit’. According to The Hindu, the duo discussed the current political situation.
While spokespersons from both sides have dismissed the visit as a ‘friendly’ one, it has nonetheless given rise to speculations that Rajinikanth might foray into politics very soon.
It is to be noted that Rajinikanth was away shooting for Lingaa during the visit.
A reliable source informs us that the meeting happened at the invitation of Latha Rajinikanth.
