Rajinikanth Says There’s No Urgency In Entering Politics
Actor Rajinikanth has clarified that while his counterpart, Kamal Haasan, has announced his political debut soon, he, on the other hand, is in no hurry. Speaking to reporters at the Chennai Airport, the veteran actor said, “There is no urgency to enter the field. I will meet my fans after my birthday.”
Haasan, on his birthday this month, indicated that he may come up with the name of his party by next January and sought to project that he was not anti-Hindu nor did he want to deliberately hurt their sentiments. He even launched an app called “maiam whistle” as a digital platform for people to address grievances and interact with him.
SIT Reveals That Dileep Wanted The Actress Out Of The Malayalam Industry
The Special Investigation Team who are looking into the case of the abduction and assault of a Malayalam actress, revealed that actor Dileep, accused of orchestrating the abduction, wanted the actress out of the industry. The chargesheet filed by the SIT revealed that Dileep had harboured a personal grudge against her for spreading rumours about him and actress Kavya Madhavan, whom he married last year.
According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the actor came up with a plan with main accused Pulsar Suni and had met him at a hotel on MG Road, Swift Junction at Thoppumpady, Santigiri College at Thodupuzha and another film shooting location in Thrissur.
The chargesheet included statements from nearly 50 persons from the film industry, with his ex-wife Manju Warrier as the main witness and Kavya as the 34th witness.

In a statement released on Wednesday, money lender Anbu Chezhian, the prime accused in the suicide of film producer Ashok Kumar, denied all charges stating that there were no deals with the deceased. Chezhian in his statement alleged that Sasikumar was the one who was given the money.
“Ashok Kumar is Sasikumar’s assistant. We have had no financial dealings with Ashok Kumar. Sasikumar is the one who took money from us to produce films. The fact that a person who has had no financial dealings with us has written our name in the letter is shocking and surprising,” read the statement by R Murali of Gopuram Films.
The company has also claimed that they are being duped. “Some people want to produce films without any investment. We give them money without asking them for any kind of security. These people take money from multiple people for their films, but instead of making films they buy cars and houses and live a luxurious life, and they give difficulties to people like us who give them money. It seems there is a gang that is out to cheat us.”
In Ashok Kumar’s suicide note, he described in detail about his loan arrangements with Madurai financier Anbu Chezhian, his relationship with cousin and director M Sasikumar, and a note of apology to his family. Ashok Kumar, like many other producers, had opted to fund his venture by borrowing from a private financier.

Karni Sena chief Lokendra Singh Kalvi has said that he and other Rajputs are yet to watch Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavati in order to see whether he has distorted history or not. To him, it’s about defending a lineage he happens to be a part of.
At a press conference in New Delhi, Kalvi said that he is from the 37th generation of the descendants of Rani Padmini and Maharana Pratap. He further claimed that he is not a ghost, and since he exists, he will continue to defend the honour of a queen he and many others believe existed.
