Rajinikanth’s next has been titled ‘Kaala’. The film’s producer Dhanush took to Twitter to announce the news.

Predictably, within minutes of the announcement, the film’s title began to trend on Twitter.

Starring Rajinikanth, Huma Qureshi in lead roles, the film is scripted and directed by Pa Ranjith, and has the distinction of being Superstar’s 164th film. Samuthirakani is said to have allotted two months schedule for his role in the film.
Music is by Santhosh Narayanan. Pa Ranjith has reportedly decided to retain his technical crew from Kabali for this film as well. Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films is the producer, G Murali is the cinematographer.
The film will go on the floors shortly.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has wrapped up work on his 2.0. The film is currently in post-production and is on track to release as scheduled on January 26, 2018.
