Ravi Kishan Will Play The Antagonist In Vikram’s Next With Vijay Chander

Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, who now acts in Kannada and Telugu films, will make his Kollywood debut as an antagonist in Vikram’s next film, directed by Vijay Chander.

Kishan, who has previously done supporting and negative roles in Hindi, made his Telugu debut in the film Race Gurram (2014). Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, he said it was his performance in that film which got him into Kollywood. He said, “I have been dying to act in Tamil films and I am glad that it is happening with this one. Vijay saw my performance in the Telugu film, Race Gurram, and was keen on having me as the villain for the story. When he narrated the script, I was blown away and immediately gave my nod. I won’t be able to reveal anything about my character at this stage. But, whenever I essay negative roles, I come out of my comfort zone”

This is not Ravi Kishan’s first tryst with Tamil cinema however. The actor was cast in a minor role in T Rajendar’s Monisha En Monalisa, which released in 1999. He has also acted with Vikram in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan (2010). “I shared screen space with Vikram, when we did Mani Ratnam’s Raavan. He is a dear friend and a fantastic actor. I am eagerly waiting to see Vikram’s performance as a fan. I adore his acting skills,” Kishan said.

This film, produced by SFF Production, also has Sai Pallavi in the lead cast.
