Ravi Teja’s next is a period drama with the working title Disco Raja. Directed by VI Anand, and produced by Ram Talluri, it is expected to go on floors soon. A spokesperson for Ravi Teja told us that Nabha Natesh and Payal Rajput have been signed on to play pivotal roles in the movie.
Set in the eighties, the film will have a generous dash of sci-fi, as is the case with Ravi Teja’s films.
A spokesperson for the film told Silverscreen that the film will take off in a few days’ time. “We are working to release the title and logo of the film soon. We will announce the film through this. Later, we are planning to begin shoot with Nabha and Payal. The film is an exciting entertainer. There’s something for everybody in the film. VI Anand’s style is unique and that will be visible all over the project.”
An official announcement is expected soon.
At present, the team is in talks with Taxiwaala actor Priyanka Jawalkar for a crucial role in the film. Ravi Teja’s spokesperson said that the actor and his team were impressed with Priyanka after seeing her performance in Taxiwaala. Her role is not that of a female lead, but will be an important special appearance.
Jawalkar’s team confirmed that talks were on with Disco Raja team to get her for the role.

Jawalkar told The Times Of India, “It will be too early to comment as the talks are still on and I haven’t signed on the dotted line yet. Keeping my fingers crossed at the moment,” she said, adding, “I believe your second film is always more important than your first film.”
Ravi Teja was last seen in Amar Akbar Anthony alongside Ileana D’souza. VI Anand’s last film was Okka Kshanam which released last December. It starred Allu Sirish and Surbhi in the lead.
