Recently, filmmaker Gunasekhar announced that his Telugu film Rudhramadevi, featuring Anushka Shetty in the titular role of a warrior queen, will release worldwide in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam, on October 9. However, the release remains doubtful due to the pending VFX work.

The film has already been postponed several times, and it doesn’t come as a surprise that it is most likely to be postponed again. “Gunasekhar is still giving final touches to the output as he isn’t satisfied with the visual effects work in some key scenes. This may delay the release by a week or two,” a source told Silverscreen. Also starring Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun in pivotal roles, the film is produced by Gunasekhar himself. The Tamil and Hindu dubbed versions of the film have been bagged by Thenandal Films and Reliance Entertainment respectively.
