Saani Kaayidham: Keerthy Suresh-Selvaraghavan Starrer to Premiere on Amazon Prime Video

Saani Kaayidham, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Keerthy Suresh and filmmaker Selvaraghavan in the lead, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, a source in the know confirmed to Silverscreen India, on condition of anonymity.

“The film was initially supposed to premiere in February but has been pushed to a later date, so as to avoid clashes with other releases. It is now expected to be out in March or April this year,” the source further said, adding that Saani Kaayidham will be released in three languages, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

While an official announcement regarding the film’s release is yet to be made by the streaming platform or the makers, Selvaraghavan had recently reshared a Twitter post that said Saani Kaayidham will premiere digitally on Amazon Prime Video.

Selvaraghavan, who is also acting in the upcoming Vijay-starrer Beast, will mark his debut as an actor with Saani Kaayidham, which is produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment.

This is the second film of director Arun Matheswaran, who recently made his debut with the Tamil action revenge drama Rocky. The filmmaker, who has also written the script of Saani Kaayidham, earlier told Silverscreen India that the Selvaraghavan-starrer will be a revenge crime drama as well, but set in a different time. The film’s shooting was completed in August.

With music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Saani Kaayidham has been shot by cinematographer Yamini Yagnamurthy and edited by Nagooran Ramachandran.

Meanwhile, Keerthy, who was last seen in the Telugu film Good Luck Sakhi, has several other projects in line, such as Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Bhola Shankar, and Dasara in Telugu, and the Malayalam film Vaashi.

On the other hand, following his collaboration with Selvaraghavan, director Arun is set to team up with the filmmaker-actor’s brother Dhanush for a project backed by TG Thyagarajan’s Sathya Jyothi Films. While the actor confirmed the film on social media, further details are yet to be announced.
