Samuthirakani might collaborate with director Priyadarshan for the Tamil remake of the Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaram. According to reports, Samuthirakani might play the villain in this remake.
Samuthirakani had earlier collaborated with Priyadarshan for last year’s Oppam, starring Mohanlal. According to a TNIE report, Priyadarshan wants the actor for his project after working with him in Oppam.

Last week, Udhayanidhi Stalin announced that he would team up with Priyadarshan. While he didn’t confirm this, several reports indicate that the film is the Tamil remake of the Fahaadh Faasil starrer Maheshinte Prathikaaram, and will be produced by Santhosh of Moonshot Entertainment.
Actress Namitha Pramod is currently in talks to star in the film. Apart from Udhay, the film will also have actor MS Bhasker in an important role. The team will reportedly start the shoot in Tenkasi, Theni, Madurai, and surrounding locales soon.
