Sanchita Shetty In The Tamil Remake Of ‘Johnny Gaddaar’

Sanchita Shetty’s next is the Tamil remake of the Bollywood film, Johnny Gaddaar. The actress will be seen alongside Prashanth, who plays the male lead. 

According to The Times of India, the film will be directed by Vetriselvan and produced by Prashanth’s father, Thiagarajan. 

“When I was approached for this film, I took it up as the female character has a solid role. I recently watched the original and will be giving my own twist to the role in its remake. I have already begun shooting for my portions and will wind up my portions by the end of this month,” Sanchita told the ToI.

Other cast members include Prabhu, Sayaji Shinde, Ashutosh Rana and Devadarshini.

Johnny Gaddaar, released in 2007, was a neo-noir thriller starring Neil Nitin Mukesh, Rimi Sen, Dharmendra, Vinay Pathak, Govind Namdeo, and others. The movie, inspired by the works of director Vijay Anand and writer James Hadley Chase, went on to become a sleeper hit.

Apart from this project, Sanchita recently signed Venkat Prabhu’s next film – Party. The actress will be heading to Fiji soon to shoot for her portions in the film. Party also stars Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Jai, Nasser, Jai, Jayaram, and Sampath.
