Atlee’s first production, for his production house A For Apple, is Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae. It is now confirmed by Atlee himself via Twitter, and by TOI, that the film will release on May 19.

Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae (SBKT) stars Jiiva, Sri Divya, Radhikaa Sarathkumar, Soori and others. According to the TOI, Jai and Akshara Gowda appear in cameo roles. The film is written and directed by Ike, a first time director who’s assisted Priyadarshan and Kamal Haasan in the past. Ike is also related to MR Radha, Radha Ravi and the family.

Ike talked about the script for SBKT to TOI: “When I initially wrote the script, I didn’t include the ghost element. But once I finished the script, I thought why not include a ghost as it added more humour to the script. Yes, I am aware of the fact that there are many horror comedies in Kollywood. But I am confident about the narrative and I assure that it will be gripping for the audience to watch.”
