Nivin Pauly is all set for the release of his next Tamil film. Initially titled Santa Maria, the movie has had a name change. In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, the director, Gautham Ramachandran, announced the new title and said, “We have fixed Richie as the title and it is Nivin’s name in the film. We had considered a lot of options and producers Anand Kumar and Vinod Shornur felt that Richie would be perfect for the film. The title design and the first look poster will be unveiled in the coming week.”

The post-production work of the movie is underway and the actor himself is said to have dubbed, for the first time, in Tamil. “Since Nivin is dubbing for himself in Tamil for the first time, he is spending a lot of time getting the diction right. He has wrapped up 75 percent of his work and we are planning to release the film this summer,” Gautham added.
The movie will be adapted from the Kannada film Ulidavaru Kandanthe and will see Nivin Pauly and Natarajan Subramanian play equally important characters. Not much is known about Natarajan’s character and the director choose to keep it under wraps. The film will also star Shraddha Srinath, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Prakash Raj, Elango Kumaravel, GK Reddy, and Naveen Kunjumon.
