Actor Santhanam and a Chennai-based builder were involved in a squabble last evening over a financial dispute. They reportedly exchanged blows and both were injured and had to be taken to a private hospital. Following the builder’s complaint against the actor, Santhanam now has filed an anticipatory bail in the Madras High Court.

According to a report in The Times Of India, Santhanam had given an advance amount to the builder in connection with the construction of a mall. However, when he cancelled the agreement, he wanted the builder to return the money. The builder didn’t return the money and kept Santhanam waiting for a long time. After a heated argument in the builder’s office yesterday, they entered into a fight.
The builder has lodged complaint against the actor.
