The first single from the Sarvam Thaala Mayam is out, and fortunately for the viewers, the wait comes to an end as the makers have released the same song they teased us with in the title track of the promo.
Arvind Swamy, Kajol and Prabhu Deva – stars of director Rajiv Menon’s debut film Minsara Kanavu, had featured in the promo video to describe the coming together of the director and composer A.R.Rahman. Expectedly, the listeners too, have had their hopes pinned high.
Sarvam Thaala Mayam’s title track doesn’t disappoint. Penned by Madhan Karky and sung by Haricharan, the song is a fusion of sorts. From electronic sounds to the use of the traditional Kerala instrument – chenda, the music has a plethora of sounds. The lyrics can be understood as an extension of the movie’s title and speaks about the omnipresence of rhythm.
The accompanying video comes as a bonus. It is a lyrical video, music video and behind-the-scenes footage all rolled into one. It shows the lead actor G.V.Prakash travelling through the country’s various states and mingling with its people. It shows Peter Johnson – the protagonist on a journey of self-discovery.
