Satellite Rights of ‘2.0’ Sold For Rs 110 Crores

Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0‘s satellite rights have been sold to Zee Network for a whopping Rs 110 crores. According to sources, all language TV rights now rest with Zee. 

Raju Mahalingam of Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling the film, made the announcement on Twitter:

Also starring Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson, the film’s shooting is currently happening in Chennai, and Amy Jackson is said to have wrapped up her schedule. 

Directed by Shankar, the film is a sequel to the director’s 2010 film Enthiran that starred Rajinikanth as Dr Vaseegaran and Chitti, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Sana, Danny Denzonpa as professor Bohra, alongside Santhanam, Karunas and Kalabhavan Mani.

In 2.0, Rajinikanth reprises his roles as Akshay Kumar plays villain. Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain and Kalabhavan Shajohn also star in this movie. The film is said to have a budget of over Rs 3oo crores with music by AR Rahman.

2.0 is slated for a Deepavali release this year.
