Telugu film Savyasachi‘s first look poster is out, featuring Naga Chaitanya. And hands, lots and lots of hands in the background. With a slightly wounded forehead and flexed muscles, Chaitanya looks ready to fight in the poster. The hands in the background, similar to that of goddess Durga, is seen equally in position to fight.

The actor explained yesterday what the title of his film means. Apparently meaning ‘ambidextrous’, Savyasachi was the fifth name given to Arjuna from the Mahabharata because of his skills with his hands, referring to his archery. Much like Arjuna, Chaitanya’s character will be equally known for his skills.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film marks Chaitanya’s second collaboration with him after Premam. The film’s female lead is Nidhi Agarwal, and has R Madhavan, too, in his first ever full-fledged role in a Telugu film. He has played a cameo in 2010 Telugu film Om Shanti.
Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, the project went on floors last year.
