The film is expected to be a commercial entertainer. Harris Jayaraj will be composing the music, marking his first project with Vijay. Vijay, who made his directorial debut in Kollywood with Kireedam in 2007, will be collaborating with Thirunavukarasu (Tirru) for this project. “The importance of an auspicious day is initiating something new on that day. I am very much glad and delightful to rejoin with my cameraman Tirru sir after Kireedam. We wanted to capture as much of the magic and beauty, and Tirru sir is a genius in that,” he said.
The film has actors AL Azhagappan and Thambi Ramaiah in supporting roles, with the project being bankrolled by Think Big Studios.
Vijay is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming trilingual Devi(L) (Abhinetri in Hindi and Telugu) starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Prabhu Deva, and Sonu Sood. The film marks actor Prabhu Deva’s comeback after 10 years to Kollywood.
Meanwhile, Sayyesha Saigal, who made her silver screen debut with Telugu film Akhil last year, will be seen alongside Ajay Devgn in Shivaay that is slated for a late October release. The film, directed by Devgn himself, is said to be about a Himalayan mountaineer and his fierce protection towards the people close to him.
