Sayyeshaa To Make Kannada Debut With Santhosh Ananddram’s ‘Yuva Rathnaa’

Sayyeshaa, who has recently announced her wedding with actor Arya, is said to have signed her debut Kannada film directed by Santhosh Ananddram. It was officially announced by both the production team and the actor on Twitter.

The film is titled Yuva Rathnaa with the tagline ‘The Power of Youth’, and is bankrolled by Hombale Films, the makers of the industry hit KGF. It stars Puneeth Rajkumar in the lead along with Sayyeshaa. Details regarding the rest of the cast and crew is expected to release sometime soon this year.

Sayyeshaa made her acting debut in Bollywood with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay, after her first Telugu film Akhil, opposite Akhil Akkineni. Shivaay is an action-thriller loosely based on the 2008 French film Taken, starring Liam Neeson. Sayyesha’s Tamil debut was with AL Vijay’s Vanamagan, also starring Jayam Ravi in the lead. The 21-year-old actress is the grand niece of veteran actors Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu.

She was last seen in Ghajinikanth directed by Santhosh P Jayakumar, starring alongside Arya. Her next film is Kaapan, the action thriller directed by KV Anand. Written by Pattukkottai Prabakar and produced by Lyca Productions, the film stars Suriya, Mohanlal and Arya in the lead roles. Boman Irani, Prem, Samuthirakani, Chirag Jani and Trisha Krishnan have pivotal roles. Cinematography is by M. S. Prabhu and Abinandan Ramanujam. Music is composed by Harris Jayaraj.

The news came following rumours about their wedding, even as some said it was fake news. The couple decided to take their relationship to the next level and plan to get married on March 9, as per Muslim traditions, in Hyderabad.
