Director Selvaraghavan’s next film, which went on floors recently, has been titled Kanagam, said a Kungumam report. However, an official announcement from the team is still awaited. The movie’s PRO tweeted that the first look and the movie’s title will be officially announced by the end of this week.

Kanagam stars actor STR, Madras fame Catherine Tresa and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to compose music for the movie. Cinematographer Aravind Krishna will handle the camera for this film.
Earlier, actress Trisha was considered for the female lead, instead of Catherine Tresa. But, the former opted herself out of the project citing date issues. Trisha is now working on Kamal Hassan’s Thoongaavanam, Sundar C’s Aranmanai 2 and Bhogi.
