This move from the team is quite symbolic as the song releases on May 1, which is World Labour Day, and the director of the film Pa Ranjith takes up the cause of the working class and the downtrodden in his films. His creations Attakathi, Madras and Kabali have heroes that people look up to. Each film is set in a different milieu and tackles local issues. In fact, Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani plays a cameo in Kaala.
