Serndhu Polama starring Vinay Rai has been shot completely in New Zealand. The film is being directed by popular Malayalam director Anil Kumar, whose works include Kudumba Vishesham, Pattabishekam and Climax. Serndhu Polama is being produced by Sashi Nambeesan under his Aishwarya Entertainments banner. Actress Madhurima Banerjee who has appeared in several Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films, makes her Tamil debut playing Vinay’s love interest in the flick. Arun, Thambi Ramaiah, Thalaivasal Vijay and Anusha appear in supporting roles.

Around sixty New Zealanders have made an appearance in the film and according to film’s makers, actor Thambi Ramaiah will even have an actress from New Zealand playing his girlfriend. The film follows the journey of a group of young people who go on a trip to re-capture their youth. Trouble follows and the rest of the movie is all about how these youngsters deal with it.
The film was shot in picturesque locations in and around Auckland. The shooting has been completed and post production is underway.
