Disney’s making a live-action adaptation of the Lion King, and Seth Rogan and Billy Eicher may be roped in to voice the characters Timon and Pumbaa, according to Hollywood Reporter.
The Lion King is perhaps one of Disney’s most loved feature length animations, and also one of the highest grossing films. The original film, released in 1994, featured the voices of James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Moira Kelly, Whoopi Goldberg, Matthew Broderick, and Rowan Atkinson, among others. With original songs composed by Elton John and music by Hans Zimmer, the film had some of the best names behind it.

The new adaptation will be directed by Jon Favreau, producer and director of the Iron Man series. Seth Rogan has been roped in to voice the character of Pumbaa, the warthog, and Billy Eicher will be the voice of Timon, the meerkat. The duo look after, and accompany Simba after he flees the kingdom. Donal Glover will be the voice of Simba in the live-action film.
Seth Rogan has already voiced for films like Kung Fu Panda, Monsters vs. Aliens and other films. Billy Eicher is a television show host, and has appeared on Parks and Recreation, among others.
