Actor Sharwanand resumed shooting for his upcoming Telugu drama Sreekaram directed by debutant director Kishore Reddy, co-starring Priyanka Arul Mohan in a lead role. The film is bankrolled under the 14 Reels Plus banner.
The production company announced the resumption of shooting on Twitter on Thursday after work was halted for almost six months. Shooting has resumed in Tirupathi with all protective measures.
Sreekaram’s shoot wrap was scheduled in March-end and was set to release on April 24. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it had to be postponed.
The film also stars Murali Sharma, Sai Kumar, Naresh, Rao Ramesh, Satya, Aamani and Sapthagiri in pivotal roles. The movie is produced by Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta and is Sharwanand’s second in the genre of rural drama after Telegu film Sathamanam Bhavathi (2017).
Sharwanand, who is known for his performance in Engeyum Eppodhum (2011), was last seen in Telugu film Jaanu (2020), opposite Samantha Akkineni. The film is a remake of Tamil movie ’96, written and directed by C Prem Kumar. The actor has three more movies in the pipeline to be filmed for this year.
On October 1, Sharwanand announced on Twitter that he had joined the sets of his upcoming Telugu-Tamil film being directed by Shree Karthik. “Back to work after 8 months for my Telugu – Tamil Bilingual film with Director Shree Karthick and Producer @prabhu_sr,” he wrote.
Priyanka, who has worked predominantly in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil movie industries, made her acting debut through Girish Girija Joshi directed Kannada movie Ondh Kathe Hella in 2019.
