Actor-director SJ Surya has been roped in to play an important role in Karthik Subbaraj’s next venture, Iraivi.

A source close to the actor confirmed that Surya will be part of the multi-starrer which will have young stars Vijay Sethupathi and Bobby Simha sharing screen space.
Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Iraivi is still in the pre-production stage and will have the music of Santhosh Narayanan. Editor Vivek Harshan, cinematographer Gavemic U Ary and art director Vijay Murugan, who were part of Karthik’s earlier venture Jigarthanda, will be part of this film as well. Thirukumaran Entertainment will produce the film.
Surya recently made his comeback with a starring role in Isai, which received positive reviews from critics.
