Bejoy Nambiar’s film Solo’s teaser is out, introducing the world to Lt. Rudra Ramachandran and Akshara. Dulquer, in his army man get-up and camouflage clothes, sporting a moustache, courts his lover Akshara, played by Neha Sharma.
The nearly two-minute teaser gives us a glimpse into their fun-filled romance where they dance, ride in hilly areas, and playfully run around. All this with the word “Rashomon” being sung in the background. The music hits a crescendo when Dulquer speaks.
“I did imagine my life without her. It’s impossible!” he says. The next scene has him and his army friends at a wedding, presumably Akshara’s, and beat up a man in a white kurta. There’s tension, a lot of crying, and cameo appearances by the other actors such as Naseer, Suhasini Maniratnam, and Dino Morea.

Solo is an oxymoronic title for a collection of four stories. Dulquer plays the lead in every segment, and director Bejoy Nambiar, in an interview with Silverscreen, promises that the film will feature an “entirely different side of Dulquer”.
The film has four heroines – Neha Sharma, Sai Dhanshika, Sruthi Hariharan, and Arti Venkatesh. The film is a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual and has several bands and musicians collaborating. The film is being bankrolled by Nambiar’s banner – Gateway Films.
