Sooraj Pancholi will reportedly start shooting for Faruk Kabir’s Hafiz before Prabhu Deva’s film. According to a DNA report, the first poster of Hafiz will be out next week, and the film will go on the floors on Eid.

Hafiz is said to be a romantic-action film, much like Sooraj’s debut Hero (2015). It was reported last month that the film was put on hold owing to some unknown issues. The filmmakers had apparently approached various established actresses including Adah Sharma, Pooja Hegde, and Disha Patani for the female lead. Now, they have settled on a newcomer.
The film is produced by Kumar Mangat known for Special 26 (2013), Drishyam (2015) and Omkara (2006).
Sooraj has also been cast in Prabhu Deva’s next, a Hindi remake of a South Indian film. Pre-production work will begin shortly, and an official announcement regarding the rest of the cast and crew will be made soon. The film will reportedly go on floors in September this year.
