The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under his banner V Creations. Music will be composed by both Anirudh Ravichandran and Sean Roldan. This film will marks Dhanush’s Telugu debut. Many of his films have have been dubbed and released in Telugu in the past to great sucess, as with the dubbed version of VIP, titled Raghuvaran B tech, which was a success in the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Starring Dhanush, Amala Paul, Vivekh, and Samuthirakani among others, Velaiyilla Pattadhaari was a film about the travails of a young, unemployed engineer. This was also popular cinematographer Velraj’s debut film. It opened to favorable reviews from critics and audience alike.

Incidentally, in September Soundarya Rajinikanth had announced her second directorial, produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu. The film is titled ‘Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam‘, a line taken from a classic song in the 1962 movie Policekaran Magal.

Soundarya, who directed Rajinikanth’s motion capture film Kochadaiyaan, has been on a hiatus since the film’s release in 2014, to concentrate on her personal life. Earlier this year, Soundarya was appointed to the board of the Animal Welfare Board of India – a move that some people protested against.
Dhanush is currently working on his directorial debut Power Paandi. He will also soon complete filming for Gautham Menon’s Enai Noki Paayum Thota. His Hollywood debut film The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir has been delayed. Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai has also been put on hold while the director concentrates on promoting Visaranai at the Oscars.
