Actress Raai Laxmi, who was last seen in a horror film Aranmanai, has been roped in to do a horror film titled Sowcarpet once again. To be directed by VC Vadivudaiyan who helmed Thambi Vettothi Sundaram, this movie is said to be a horror-comedy set in the backdrop of Sowcarpet in Chennai.

Actor Srikanth, who has a couple of films like Om Shanthi Om and Nambiyar in his kitty, will play the lead role in Sowcarpet. Reportedly, the shooting of this film will begin in the coming months.
The official statement regarding the rest of the cast and crew will be announced soon.
It is to be noted that Raai Laxmi has been a part of two horror films – Aranmanai 2 and Kanchana.
