The makers of Sulthan, starring actors Karthi and Rashmika Mandanna, announced on Friday that the film is in its final leg of production and the dubbing has commenced.

Speaking to Silverscreen India, the producer of the film SR Prabhu said: “The film is a family drama and will have a lot of action. It will be a good entertainer. This film is going to be a celebration. We hope it brings back the audiences to the theatres.”
According to the producer, the film will be released early next year.
The producers shared pictures from inside of the dubbing studio on Twitter. The film has been in the making for nearly two years and had wrapped up its shoot on October 8.
“And it’s a wrap!! From the day we heard the idea three years back till today, the story continues to excite us. It’s one of my biggest productions so far. I thank the entire team for slogging it through and giving their best.” #Sulthan” Karthi wrote on Twitter.
Mandanna had also taken to Instagram to make the announcement. “And that’s a wrap on my first Tamil film! 🤍 this is one lovely bunch of people I worked with.. ✨ loads of love to everyone here.. I hope Sulthan does well..” she wrote on October 8.
Written and directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, the film will feature Karthi and Telugu-Kannada actor Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. Ponnambalam and Yogi Babu will also be seen in supporting roles. The film marks Rashmika’s debut in the Tamil film industry.
Karthi was last seen in the 2019 film Thambi and will be next seen in Mani Ratnam‘s period drama, Ponniyin Selvan.
Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in Bheeshma earlier this year, opposite Nithiin. Her upcoming releases include Pogaru opposite Dhruva Sarja and she has also resumed shooting for Allu Arjun‘s Pushpa.
