Khushbu Sundar wrote a series of tweets about Sanghamitra last night. She explained the meticulous planning required for a mega project such as Sanghamitra, and also took a dig at ‘someone’ who has been saying that the script of the film is not yet ready.
Shruti Haasan recently walked out of the film citing the same reason, and many assume that the senior actress was referring to her. Speaking to Silverscreen, Khushbu says, “The tweets were just my thoughts about the film. Sanghamitra is Sundar’s dream project. For about 15 years, he has been contemplating directing it. A massive project like this will take its own course.”
Ask her about when the film is likely to take off, she says, “The shoot is likely to commence from October. The pre-production work has already begun.”
About the ‘someone’ that she has mentioned in her tweets, she says, “Not worth naming them.”
Sanghamitra stars Arya and Jayam Ravi in the lead. The film was launched at Cannes Film Festival, but Shruti Haasan, who had signed up for the film, soon opted out of the project.
