Brinda Sivakumar, Suriya and Karthi’s sister, has recorded one of the songs in Raatchasi, starring her sister-in-law Jyotika in the lead.
Titled Nee En Nanbane, the song is a melody composed by Sean Roldan with lyrics by Yugabharathi. Actor Karthi shared the YouTube link, and Suriya retweeted this.
Karthi said, “We brothers never appreciate our sisters but there are times when they make us feel so proud. My proud moment is here.”

Brinda Sivakumar has previously recorded the theme song of Mr Chandramouli along with Sam CS. At the audio launch event of the film last year it was revealed that she got many offers to sing in Suriya, Karthi and Jyotika’s movies but she was waiting for a chance from outside.
A source close to the film told Silverscreen that Raatchasi is likely to release next month and a date will be announced soon. An audio launch may also be held in the coming weeks.
Written and directed by Sy. Gowthamraj, the film stars Jyotika in the lead as N Geetha Rani, a principal who is determined to improve the standards of her government school. The first-look poster and trailer released recently. Jyotika was seen playing a tough principal of a poorly managed school whose teachers are indifferent to their work and politicians from outside also stand in the way of Geetha Rani’s attempts to improve the school’s standards.

The film is Gowthamraj’s first directorial, and stars Poornima Bhagyaraj, Sathyan, Hareesh Peradi and Kavitha Bharathi in important roles. Sean Roldan is the music composer and cinematography is by Gokul Benoy. Philomin Raj is the editor and Pawal Kumar the art director. SR Prakashbabu and SR Prabhu are the producers of the movie.
This is Jyotika’s second outing as a school teacher after Gautham Menon’s hit Kaakha Kaakha in 2003. She is currently shooting for Malayalam director Jeethu Joseph’s new film co-starring Karthi, Sathyaraj and Anson Paul. The first-look of Jackpot, her film with Revathy, also released recently. She has signed her next film with director Fredrick, the shoot for which will begin later this year.
