Huge sets have reportedly been erected at a studio in Chennai for Thalapathy 63. It seems like the shoot for the Vijay starrer, directed by Atlee, is progressing in a rapid speed.
According to a report, Chennai’s famous Napier’s bridge is being recreated at a popular studio in the city. It is said that set work has already begun, and the recreated bridge looks like the original one. Earlier, some set work for the film happened at Binny mills.
Meanwhile, shooting for Tamil films have reduced in Chennai, and some teams have moved to other cities for shoot. Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam was shot majorly in Hyderabad. It is said that when films are shot outside the state, other state workers get more priority than the Tamil workers.
In Thalapathy 63, Vijay will be dancing with a thousand children for the opening song of the film. An official confirmation regarding this is yet to be made. It was also reported that Thalapathy 63 is about football players who get selected to the Indian Football team, and get killed one by one. The blame falls on the coach, played by Vijay, who goes in search of the real culprit.
The film is reportedly not a usual sports drama, but an investigative thriller with sports elements.

It features a big star cast with Nayanathara, Kathir, Vivekh, Yogi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Anand Raj and many others. Pitched as a “mass entertainer with superior technical crew and the best production values”, the film is produced by Archana Kalapthi under the banner AGS Entertainments.
R Rahman is the composer, and Vivek is the lyricist. Atlee has retained his previous film Mersal‘s team, with editor Antony Ruben, stunt director Anal Arasu, and art director Muthuraj. Sources suggest that Aalaporaan Tamizhan, a song from Mersal, is the title being considered.
