Reactions to comedian Michelle Wolf’s performance at the White House correspondents’ dinner was polarizing. While she got slammed by US President Donald Trump and his staffers, comedians across came out in support of her.
Wolf’s roasting of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who was present at the event, caused the furore.
Here are some of the comments which drew ire.
“I actually really like Sarah [Hucakabee Sanders]. I think she’s very resourceful. But she burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smoky eye. Like maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s lies. It’s probably lies.”
“She [Ivanka Trump] was supposed to be an advocate for women, but it turns out she’s about as helpful to women as an empty box of tampons. She’s done nothing to satisfy women. So I guess, like father like daughter.”
“I would drag him here myself, but it turns out that the president of the United States is the one pussy you’re not allowed to grab.”
True to his style, Trump tweeted saying that the comedian totally bombed.” Soon others joined.
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner was a failure last year, but this year was an embarrassment to everyone associated with it. The filthy “comedian” totally bombed (couldn’t even deliver her lines-much like the Seth Meyers weak performance). Put Dinner to rest, or start over!

Watching a wife and mother be humiliated on national television for her looks is deplorable. I have experienced insults about my appearance from the president. All women have a duty to unite when these attacks happen and the WHCA owes Sarah an apology.

The more I think about it, the more impressed I am that Michelle Wolf did such a harsh act WITHOUT insulting any woman's looks. She aimed straight at the white female enforcers & never once suggested that anyone was a bimbo or a dog—like the man they work for surely would have.
