A spokesperson for Thenandal Studios told Silverscreen that the reasons Shruti Haasan cited in her press release for walking out of Sangamithra, are not true.

“Sundar C has made it his aim to keep Sangamithra as professional and organised as possible. So, for an actress to suddenly hint that organisational issues were the reason for her not being a part of the film is silly. The real reason and issue is completely different, but it is one we won’t be making public.”
Earlier this week, Thenandal Studios had said that they were ‘unable to continue working’ with Shruti Haasan in the Rs 250 crore project. A short while later, Shruti Haasan issued an official statement in which she cited ‘lack of a bound script and proper date calendar’ as the reason for her exit.
