Tiger Shroff will be a part of two sequels in 2017. Shroff, who made his debut with Heropanti, will dance and sing his way through Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2, a sequel to the 2012 hit of the same name. He will also reprise his role from Baaghi for Baaghi 2, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala.
Shroff told the Hindustan Times that he was proud to have been cast in both films, “I am very proud to be a part of both these sequels. Baaghi, which is helmed by Sajid (Nadiadwala) sir, is my territory. The pressure and challenge would now be to take it to another level with Baaghi 2. As for SOTY 2, it is more pressurising for me, because those are big shoes to fill. It was the launch pad for Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, and was a successful film that was also loved by people.”
He added, “It is Karan [Johar] sir’s baby. He told me that he gets a lot of mails from people asking him when he would go on floors with the sequel. It is an honour to work with Karan sir.”

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story star Disha Patani has refuted reports that she would star in SOTY 2. She said, “No one has approached me on it. I don’t know where do these stories come from. I wish I were a part of the film but it is not true.”
