Bollywood actress Tisca Chopra, of Taare Zameen Par (2007) fame, will make her Telugu debut in Ram Charan’s action film Bruce Lee, which releases on October 16 worldwide. In an interview with The Hindu, Tisca said she portrays a wealthy, strong and powerful woman. She has previously worked in two Malayalam films, and says she’s keen to explore opportunities in other southern languages. Directed by Srinu Vaitla, Bruce Lee also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Kriti Kharbanda, Sampath Raj and Arun Vijay. The film has music by SS Thaman and will feature Chiranjeevi in a cameo performance in an action sequence and a song.
Tisca Chopra played the role of an eight-year old boy’s mother, who comes to terms with her son’s dyslexia. She has also acted in the critically acclaimed film Firaaq (2008) a political thriller set one month after the 2002 Gujarat riots, and directed by Nandita Das. Her Malayalam films include Mayabazar (2008) and Nirnnayakam (2015).
